Prevent Residue on Wraps

Origins_of_acid_rain.svg

You can increase the life of your car wrap through care and cleaning. Pollutants collect on the surface of your vehicle in multiple ways. Perhaps the most damaging is when dew collects on your car and is allowed to dry. This can leave a residue on the car.

The dew that collects on your vehicle is the same as acid rain  see the definition and link to removing acid rain from your windows below.

Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.

As a general rule, we recommend that you grab a hose and wash off the dew every morning before it is allowed to dry and leave a residue. It’s seriously that easy. If you already have residue, grab a rag and vinegar to wipe it away. This applies to simple window wraps, to complete fleet wraps for large groups of trucks.
